Where a provider is based says nothing about where it stores your data. Open weights do not always come with an open-source licence. Whether Annex III applies depends on how you use the system.

What the source marks mean

Each mark shows what kind of source backs a fact. Open the fact to read the source, the date it was checked and any conditions.

Documented by the provider
The provider's own documentation supports this fact, for the product, plan and date stated.
Stated by the provider
The provider says this, for example on a marketing page. Read the linked source and its conditions before you rely on it.
ETHORITY analysis
ETHORITY's assessment, based on the linked sources.
Independent source
An independent source supports this one fact, within the scope stated. Check the other facts separately.

Figures marked 'Scenario' are calculated from stated assumptions. Results measured in practice are shown separately.

Facts, sources and conditions

Elastic workplace search across all your tools, which teams combine with generative AI to build their own Slackbots, website portals and mobile employee experiences.
Stated by the providerelastic.co ↗
Where the provider's own sources disagree

The provider’s own sources say different things here. The solution page still promotes Workplace Search with a trial, while the 15 April 2025 provider announcement says standalone App Search and Workplace Search are deprecated in 9.0, available in 8.x and supported for 27 months after the end-of-life announcement. Confirm the supported version and migration plan. https://www.elastic.co/blog/search-for-enterprise-serverless

Where it sits on the map · 1 · 1
What it is used for
Build-your-own enterprise search across workplace sources on Elasticsearch
ETHORITY analysiselastic.co ↗

Derived from solution page; standalone Workplace Search product deprecated, capability continues via Elasticsearch connectors.

How it is billed
Elastic Cloud Hosted: monthly, usage-based by instance type and subscription tier (Standard, Gold, Platinum, Enterprise); self-managed and Serverless priced separately
Stated by the providerelastic.co ↗

No Workplace Search-specific price; solution page only 'Contact sales'.

Published price
Elastic Cloud Hosted 'as low as' USD 99 (Standard), 114 (Gold), 131 (Platinum), 184 (Enterprise) per month for 120 GB storage / 2 zones base configuration
Unit: USD
Stated by the providerelastic.co ↗

Platform price, not a per-user search licence. Tier required for document level security not named.

Where data is stored
Customer selects deployment region; European Cloud Hosted regions: AWS Frankfurt, Zurich, Stockholm, Milan, Ireland, London, Paris; Azure Ireland, Netherlands, Paris, London; GCP Finland, Belgium, London, Frankfurt, Netherlands, Paris; or self-managed on-prem
Documented by the providerelastic.co ↗

Trust FAQ (https://www.elastic.co/trust/faq): Elastic Inference Service requests 'are routed to the nearest available region', which may differ from deployment region.

Does it train AI on your data?
Not used for training
Stated by the providerelastic.co ↗

Quote: 'Elastic does not use your data to train its AI models.' Built-in models: 'Customer data is never used to train, validate, or fine-tune these models.' Customer-configured third-party LLMs governed by customer's agreement with that provider.

Connects with
25 named connectors plus customised connector: Azure Blob Storage, Box, Confluence, Dropbox, GitHub, Gmail, Google Cloud Storage, Google Drive, Jira, Microsoft SQL, MongoDB, MySQL, Network drive, OneDrive, Oracle, Outlook, PostgreSQL, S3, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, Slack, Teams, Zoom
Stated by the providerelastic.co ↗

Count derived from listed logos (26 entries incl. 'Customized connector'). Self-managed connectors and APIs for custom on-prem sources.

Certificates and audit reports
Listed: ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018; SOC 2 and SOC 3 (attestations); CSA STAR; PCI DSS; TISAX; FedRAMP High/Moderate; Cyber Essentials Plus; IRAP; scope and auditor not named on trust page

Stated by the providerinnogpt.de ↗
Where the provider's own sources disagree

The provider’s own sources say different things here. CONTRADICTION/ambiguity: pricing page § 203 plan says 'EU hosting in Berlin' while footer and security page name AWS Frankfurt. Models page (https://www.innogpt.de/en/models) tags several models 'Global' (e.g. gemini-3-pro-preview, sonar-pro, llama-4-maverick) without defining location. Trust centre (https://trust.innogpt.de) states no hosting region.

Where the provider's own sources disagree

The provider’s own sources say different things here. Count '1,000+' stated; integrations page also says '+ 1,000 more integrations available' beneath 16 logos (wording inconsistency). Mechanism behind the 1,000+ figure not described.

Certificates and audit reports
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (stated as certified); scope and certification body not named
Stated by the providertrust.innogpt.de ↗

Homepage says 'Independently audited information security management' without naming auditor. Not third-party verified. GDPR listed alongside is a law, not a certification.

Limitations
Only '(most)' AI models hosted in Europe; Custom Actions not available in free chat (assistants/agents only); Workflows marked 'soon'; trial limited to standard models and not § 203 compliant; one account per provider and user for integrations; SCIM provisioning 'in Arbeit'

06ANALYSIS FOR YOUR NEXT DECISION

Three analyses for your next AI decision.

Try the numbers. See what changes.

Seven tools for your next decision. Modelled scenarios, with assumptions you can inspect.

How we work: Discover, Create, Run, Improve, Grow

02HOW ETHORITY WORKS WITH YOU

From the first idea to AI that runs every day.

You find the right AI, decide, put it into operation and adapt it as conditions change. ETHORITY works in a loop of five steps, and each step ends with a clear decision.

  1. Discover

Find where AI can help your business and what the market offers for it.

    Live market exploration
  2. Create

Choose the option and build the solution, including its costs, data and responsibilities.

Question · Question · Who is responsible for each AI use, the proof that it works and the next decision?

Effective — AI supports a concrete goal with results you can check.

Efficient — effort, cost and human rework are counted.

Economic — a technical gain is tested for its real business value.

Responsible — people, rights, safety and ethical consequences are part of the decision. Compliance is part of it; responsibility goes further.

AI needs rules. Five questions to set them.

AI governance means deciding who is responsible for an AI system, what it may do and how you check it. Scenario: an AI agent – software that carries out tasks on its own within set permissions – answers customer requests and triggers refunds. Five questions make it safe and worth the effort.

  1. Responsibility: who decides?

One named person owns the agent; finance owns the refund budget, IT the system connections. AI Governance Setup defines roles, decision rights and the approval path.

  2. Authority: what may it do alone?

The agent sees orders and delivery status and refunds up to a limit your finance team sets. Profiles and Compare show what each agent product can do and how it handles your data.

  3. Evidence: what does each answer rest on?

Answers on prices and return rules name their source; every refund is recorded with reason, amount and approval. The AI Trust Record checks one system in ten working days.

  4. Control: when does a person step in?

A person reviews refunds above the limit, complaints and unclear cases; the head of customer service approves exceptions. The AI Trust Pilot tests this for six weeks with a stop rule.

  5. Benefit: does the result improve?

Measure answers your team accepts as correct, complaints and rework time, before and during the pilot. The AI calculators show cost per accepted answer and the real value of freed time.
