What does Explorer include?
A free first view of the market: the Prism map, segments, registry profiles and the Navigator.
How do the subscriptions differ?
By who uses them and how: Professional for one researcher, Business for a shared team across technology, finance and the business, Enterprise for configured coverage and use rights.
Can we export data?
Export and use rights are defined per subscription. Redistribution of data belongs to research and data licensing.
Is analyst work included?
Analyst work is scoped separately; for one decision, an AI Decision Brief is the fastest route.
Where do the facts come from?
From provider documentation, trust centres and pricing pages, each with its evidence class and read date.

ETHORITY · LONG READ
Why AI research goes stale, and how to keep it fresh
The AI market does not wait for the next procurement cycle. Buyer intelligence keeps the facts behind recurring decisions dated, comparable and ready when the question comes back.
Most organisations research AI the way they research office furniture: once, when they need to buy, and then not again until the contract is up. That works for furniture. It does not work for AI, where products rename, change pricing units, move data regions and release new models within a single quarter.
During research for the Good AI Prism market study, ETHORITY found 34 product renames within a few weeks. Model list prices from the leading providers span roughly a hundredfold, from USD 0.10 to USD 10 per million input tokens. A comparison made in spring can be wrong by autumn, and nobody notices until a renewal or an incident forces the question.
A free first view
Explorer is free. It turns a business question into a first view of the market using the same map, taxonomy and sources as the Good AI Prism. For many teams that first view is enough to frame the question and build a shortlist. When the decision is a single purchase, the shortlist can go straight to an AI Decision Brief.
Recurring intelligence
The subscriptions are for decisions that come back. A procurement team that renews AI contracts each year, a CIO office that reviews the model portfolio every quarter, a finance team that tracks AI spend against alternatives: these need research that stays current between decisions.
Prism Professional serves one researcher who revisits the same questions and wants dated sources and change history. Prism Business gives technology, finance and business owners a shared basis, so the CFO and the CIO argue from the same facts. Prism Enterprise Intelligence configures coverage, use rights and service levels for enterprise decision cycles. Access to all three is on request while entitlements are set up per client.
What makes it different
Three things separate buyer intelligence from a newsletter or an analyst subscription. Every fact carries an evidence mark and a read date. The taxonomy is the same across all 24 topic areas, so a finance tool and a customer-service agent can be compared on the same fields. And changes are tracked as events, so a subscriber sees not only the current state but what changed and when.
The foundation models brief shows why that matters at the technology layer. Model retirements, price changes and context-window increases arrive monthly. A team that runs production systems on a model needs to know about a retirement date before its vendor tells it.
Seats, listings and analyst work
The subscriptions license user access to research. They do not include analyst work on your specific decision, which is scoped separately, and they do not grant redistribution rights to the data, which belong to research and data licensing. Keeping those three apart keeps the price of each honest.
Where it leads
Buyer intelligence is often the start of a longer relationship. A team that tracks its AI market finds the decisions worth a deeper look, and those go to the founder-led enterprise services: an Estate Audit when the portfolio has grown, an Opportunity Case when one investment dominates the budget. The research and the advice draw on the same registry, so nothing is re-researched when a question moves from one to the other.
A practical rhythm
Teams that get most from buyer intelligence set a rhythm. Once a quarter, they review the segments that matter to them: what changed in pricing, data terms, certificates and model dependencies, and which changes touch systems they already run. Once a year, before renewals and budgets, they compare the incumbents against the alternatives on the same fields. Between those dates, alerts on named products catch the changes that cannot wait.
That rhythm mirrors how the AI Governance Retainer keeps a register current, and the two work well together: the subscription supplies the market view, the retainer applies it to the client's own estate. For teams that want to see the market move before subscribing, the insight on AI growth facts shows the kind of dated evidence the subscriptions track.
A last point on scope. Buyer intelligence covers the whole map, but the depth follows demand. Today the deepest coverage sits in customer service, knowledge search, document workflows, software development and finance, with the software development area and the knowledge and search area among the most complete. Subscribers can ask for an area to be prioritised, and that request feeds the order of the next research update.
