Who it is for

Clients after an AI Act Readiness Sprint, an AI Governance Setup or an Estate Audit, and companies without a full-time AI governance role. Also boards that want one accountable adviser rather than rotating project teams.

The question it answers

Is our AI register still true this quarter, what changed in law and in our vendors, and what does the board need to decide?

  3. Each quarter

Week 1 register update with AI owners; week 2 evidence check on policies, training records, labels and vendor documents; week 3 board report with the sponsor.

  4. Twice a year and yearly

Review of the governance process: what works and what slows people down; yearly literacy refresher, annual review and plan.

Questions buyers ask

What if we use fewer days than included?

Unused days carry over for one quarter.

Can we change package?

Yes, at the end of any month after the minimum term.

Who owns the register?

You do. The retainer keeps it current in the ETHORITY registry schema, and you can take it with you at any time.

Do we need a prior project?

It helps. Without a register, onboarding starts with taking stock, or with a sprint first.

How fast do you answer?

Within one, two or three working days, by package. Urgent incidents are escalated directly to Sten Franke.

Next step

Ask about the retainer in a 30-minute call. If you have no register yet, the AI Act Readiness Sprint builds the one the retainer keeps current.

ETHORITY · LONG READ

AI governance is not a project. It is a rhythm.

New models, new vendor terms and new guidance arrive every quarter. A governance system that is not maintained becomes a document about last year.

Governance projects end. AI does not. Within a quarter of a Governance Setup, a vendor will have changed its data terms, a model in use will have a retirement date, a business unit will want a new agent, and Brussels or Berlin will have issued new guidance. The AI Act Omnibus alone moved the main high-risk date to 2 December 2027 and changed the wording of the literacy duty.

The AI Governance Retainer turns that churn into a rhythm. Each quarter follows the same three weeks: register update with the AI owners, evidence check on policies, training records, labels and vendor documents, and a board report drafted with the sponsor. Between those, new AI cases arrive through the intake form and get a risk triage within the agreed response time.

The watch on vendors is where the registry pays off. ETHORITY's AI Universe already records thousands of dated changes to AI products, so tracking your vendors starts from a history rather than a blank page. When a model your system depends on announces a retirement date, the change appears in the next briefing with its source.

Continuity is the second reason to retain rather than re-hire. One senior adviser who knows your company, your register and your board's questions saves the cost of re-explaining everything to a new team each year. Unused days carry over for a quarter, and the monthly time statement shows where the time went.

The outcome is modest and important: a register that is true this quarter, a board that sees decisions in time, and evidence that would satisfy an auditor without a scramble. That is how governance closes the gap that agents open.
